When one hears Brazil, the usual things that probably come to mind is the Amazon forest, soccer players, wonderful beaches, the Carnival and nothing more. However, Brazil can certainly offer more to tourists. There are the warm people, wide range of weather patterns, the mixture of cultures and races, and great cities.

Brazil, possibly the most important country in the South America, is also the biggest country in the continent. It borders every other country except Ecuador and Chile. When traveling to Brazil, do not forget to visit the Fernando de Noronha Island, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo. Aside from those destinations, you can come by the city of Salvador and the Ouro Preto and Olinda where you can find fantastic old colonial towns. On the other hand, if bustling cities and busy market places are not your preferences, you can also visit the Iguacu Falls and bask in its natural beauty. The southern part of Brazil includes the Santa Catarina that is visited by tourists who prefer quieter sceneries.

Many people travel to Brazil because of the grand fashion shows in Sao Paolo and the incredible Carnival in Brasilia. The latter is the most popular tourist attraction in the country. The Brazilian Carnival is usually held four days before Ash Wednesday and marks the start of Lent. The Carnival in Rio de Janeiro has, overtime, acquired elements from African and Native American cultures. You can see the ?cordoes? who are a bunch of people that parade the streets while playing music and dancing. The new age has transformed them into ?blocos? and now consists of people who dress in special t-shirts and costumes according to themes.

The Rio de Janeiro is not the only city that has the Carnival; Bahia also has one. Experienced travelers can definitely point out the differences between the two Carnivals. If you are into samba-reggae, axe, samba rhythms, the Bahia Carnival is definitely for you. These tunes are performed in trucks with a platform where musicians play the trio-electrico.

Brazil is one destination you surely don?t want to miss if you are planning a vacation. From busy streets to quite beaches and wild Carnivals to glamorous fashion shows, Brazil truly has something that you want.
